What I personally look for in a coach is someone who brings out the best in me both professionally and personally. The late Michael Shurtleff once said that the actors he remembered most are those who showed vulnerability and a sense of humour. When being coached by Lorena, she helps me achieve just that. She has helped me break bad habits, fully embrace the character, and has helped me make each performance authentic. She’s attuned to each subtle nuance, helping me make each moment real and rich, and since she’s an HSP, she can pick up on inauthenticity in a second. She also knows and understands that we, as actors, need to make our audience feel. We need to move them. They’re starving for it.
